Date Announcement
11 May 2000 Final grades have been re-posted.  I am certain that the error has been corrected.  Again I apologize for the confusion, false hopes, and false scares over your grades.  Please let me know if there are any problems with this posting.
10 May 2000 Final grades have been posted.  Have a great summer!
09 May 2000 The grades page has been updated with the lowest quiz scores dropped.  A link has been placed at the top of the page to a page containing your quiz scores as they were before the lowest scores were dropped
08 May 2000 The grades page has been updated to reflect your grades on Project 5 and the In-Class Activities score.  The "Overall" column now reflects 90% of the total points for the semester.  The only variables are the final exam and the Peer Evaluation scores. Please note that the Peer Evaluation scores could cause your individual project grade to go down.
05 May 2000 The grades page has been updated to reflect Homework 3 and Homework 4.  The "Overall" column still only reflects 75% of the total points for the semester.
26 Apr 2000 The grades page has been updated to reflect Project 4 grades.  You will note a column labelled "Overall".  This is your overall weighted average with 75% of the total points for the semester accounted for.  Class activity grades, project presentation scores and the final exam are not figured into the "Overall" score.
13 Apr 2000 I have changed the link on the course calendar page regarding Homework #4 so that it points to the correct assignment.  Homework #4 is a Usability Classification Exercise, not a website evaluation exercise.
08 Apr 2000 Changes have been made to the course calendar to reflect the reality of the end of the semester.  Please note these changes in your calendars.  The changes are in red text so that you can easily identify the modifications.
08 Apr 2000 Quizzes 19a and 20a were originally grades on a 20-point scale.  I have scaled them to a 10-point scale (divided the original score by 2) in order to make computation of final grades easier.  It will have no effect on the weight of the quizzes in your total grade computation.
08 Apr 2000 The grades page has been updated to reflect the most recent quizzes.
05 Apr 2000 The homework page has been updated to reflect the changes discussed in class several weeks ago.  Basically, Homework 5 has assignment has been changed to Homework 4.  The original Homework 4 assignment has been dropped.
08 Mar 2000 A page of Grading Guidelines for Project 3 has been posted.  There is a link to the guidelines from the Project Assignments page.  You should use these guidelines help guide your last minute project refinements.
03 Mar 2000 Project 2 grades have been posted.  The grading notes for Project 1 and Project 2 have been moved to the Project Assignments page
01 Mar 2000 A prototype demo schedule has been posted.  As teams Email me their preferred times, I will update this schedule.  Please check the schedule prior to sending me your preferences to minimize the chance that your chosen times are already taken.
27 Feb 2000 As Dr. Hartson mentioned in class, the assignments for Homework 2 and Homework 3 have been switched.  To avoid confusion, I have updated the calendar, homework index page, and the assignment specifications to reflect this change.  Please make sure you are handing in the appropriate assignment at the appropriate time.
24 Feb 2000 A sample solution to Homework 1 has been distributed via the ListServ.  If you did not receive the attachment, please Email me.
24 Feb 2000 Grades have been updated to include Homework 1,  and quizzes Q7-2/11 Q12-2/14
14 Feb 2000 Quiz 8 and Quiz 9 Grades have been posted.  Somehow the numbering has gotten out of sequence so it appears that we skipped Quiz 7.
14 Feb 2000 Project 1 Grades have been posted.  A page of general notes regarding the grading of Project-1 has been posted to help you understand why you may have lost points on a particular section of the project.  The column label for Project 1 (Proj1) is a hyperlink to the grading notes for that deliverable.
07 Feb 2000 I am sorry about the confusion regarding your project folders.  There was a miscommunication between Dr. Hartson and me.  If you would like to pick up your graded Project 0 folder you may do so during GTA Office hours tomorrow 08 Feb 2000 from 9:30AM until 11:00AM.
07 Feb 2000 A listserv has been setup for CS-3724.  If you did not receive a message from the CS3724_1386 listserv dated 6:53PM on 07 Feb 2000, please E-mail rlneil@cs.vt.edu and I will remedy the situation.  Thanks.
07 Feb 2000 The syllabus has been updated to include the special statement regarding attendance, and make-ups of quizzes & graded in-class activities referenced below.  This update does not reflect a policy change but rather a clarification of the existing policies.
