Announcements

12/15: I set final grades and uploaded them to the Curator and to Banner. The Curator announcement should contain the midterm and final score, as well as the score I had on record for projects 0 to 4. 15 pts were assigned for CVS. I also noted whether you met the minimum passing requirement of a 95% score on P2 ("Min95"). I ended up weighing the exams about 40% and the projects 60%, so that 1 midterm point was roughly 1 project point was roughly 2 final exam points. Here is the final grade distribution.
I was very impressed by the effort and persistence that most of you put in this challenging class. I hope that you enjoyed this class and wish you a happy break!

12/13: I finished grading the final exam, here are the solutions and histogram.
12/6: The final exam will be Monday, Dec 11, 1pm in McB 216. See the announcement. During the last class, I amended the announcement such that you are allowed to bring your prepared sheet of notes from the midterm, in addition to the sheet of notes you're allowed to bring for the final.

10/5: I posted the midterm announcement and a sample midterm in the Documents section. The midterm will be held Oct 12, 11:00am. Participation in the midterm is required, though not sufficient, to receive a passing grade.

9/23: Regarding the design documents for project 1. You are allowed to discuss them within your group, but the write-up you create must be your own. Submit them in the Curator category we created for that purpose. See the forum entry for more discussion.
9/18: I posted a number of ideas about how to implement fixed-point arithmetic in the forum.

9/5: Project 1 Help Session is tonight (9/5) & tomorrow (9/6) night at 7-9pm. The session will be held in McB 129 & 209, respectively.
8/27: We have now posted the deadlines for the projects on the Projects page. These are binding for all sections. I have also started a change log on the project page alerting you to updates and/or changes in the project software and what actions are required for you to keep up.
