Attendance

Class Attendance is NOT mandatory.

  • No portion of the course grade will be based upon class attendance.
  • Students are solely responsible for missed assignments, course announcements or other class activities and announcements in their absence.
  • Only University recognized activities or excuses will be recognized, missed work due to absence or any other reason will NOT be accepted.
  • Club sports are NOT University recognized activities and do NOT constitute a valid excuse for missing class.
  • Deaths, weddings or other important personal matters in order to qualify as a valid excuse for missing course responsibilities will require students to have their academic advisor (or College Dean's office) contact their CS 3114 instructor to explain the emergency and request an excuse. Contact information, (email, phone, etc.), of family members who can verify the emergency must be provided to the CS 3114 instructor. A copy of legal documentation, (marriage liscence, death certificate) of the emergency may be required for missed tests or missed assignments.
  • Students experiencing other personal problems should contact their Dean's office and the Cook Counseling Center.
