CS 4944 Fall 2017 Task 8
Exit Presentation
Prepare and give a 10-15 minute "exit" presentation, with accompanying
presentation materials, e.g., 5-10 powerpoint slides.
The style of this presentation
should be that of an informal business presentation, i.e., the kind you
would give if you were updating your supervisor on the status of a project.
The audience will be Dr. Ribbens or Dr. Edwards. You will be evaluated on the quality
of your visual materials and oral presention.
Here are some (nonmandatory) suggestions for things to include in your presentation.
Looking back on your years at VT
- Your courses: best class, hardest class, most useful class, etc.
- What you know now that you wish you knew then. Advice to your younger self.
- How would you change the program, if you were in charge?
Looking forward
- What's next? What options are you looking at (jobs, grad
school, etc.)? What tradeoffs do you see in these choices?
How are you going to decide?
- What gaps do you see in your education? What would you like
to learn more about? How are you going to go about doing that?
Feel free to organize your presentation in any way that makes sense.
Your comments will only be shared anonymously, if at all, outside
the presentation.
