Hi, Ed,

I hear your multimedia class is seeking patrons for projects. I have a need
that may mesh with what you are requiring. As social studies coordinator, I
am creating an instructional guide for fifth grade. Included in the fifth
grade social studies curriculum is an extensive study of the American Civil
War. I would like to include a CD ROM that contains music of the era, a
variety of maps, scanned images of art work, texts of famous speeches,
poetry, etc. This project would probably require someone interested in
music, e.g., to create midi files of Civil War era music. Because
recordings are copyright protected, original renditions would most likely
be necessary--unless there are recordings in the public domain, perhaps at
the Library of Congress. If you need more details, I'll be glad to provide
them.
