CS4624 Spring 1998 Project Idea - A/V Aids for Acupressure

• Purpose:

  To help those interested to learn about and make use of acupressure techniques for improving health.

• Description:

  This project will develop a WWW site and CD-ROM about acupressure. For a rough beginning, see some instuctor developed pages. What is developed will support searching, so that interested parties can enter given any of the following:

  • one or more of the names or descriptions of a point
  • common ailments
  • health benefits expected from using a point or points
  • pointing to an area of the body on a suitable diagram

  Browsing also will be supported. If possible there will be a glossary, and there will be pointers to other resources on WWW.

  2. Such an arrangement might allow use of artwork, such as from the book "Acupressure's Potent Points: A Guide to Self-Care for Common Ailments" by Michael Reed Gach, Bantam New Age Books, ISBN 0-553-34970-8. If that is done, it is possible that some funds may be provided because of this service.
