Robert Dickert reported on 3/24:
Virtus Walkthrough Pro and Virtus 3-D Website Builder are both now
available in the Derring 2069 Lab. Virtus Walkthrough Pro is on machines
4,12,20. Virtus 3-D Website Builder is available on machines 6,14,22. The
license does not allow for us to key the application for 3 simultaneous
users so that we could spread it over all of our labs so those are the only
machines that it will be on. I have, however, installed the Virtus Player
on all of the machines in Derring and can install that other places if need
be.
Scott Guyer reported on 3/25:
Since we are well past the midway point of the semester, it is
not unreasonable to think that everyone should be done with the
IN unit quizzes. However, a mere 16 of 60 have taken this quiz
(two of which include the professor and myself).
For those who have not begun, I urge you to get started. For the rest, just keep up with the pace set in class. You will not want to leave all the quizzes to the end of the semester as I am sure you will have at least a couple of final exams to take.
Remember that you can check you progress on the quizzes by clicking on the review link on the class home page.
During the lab sections, there will be a Field Trip to the Library. This visit involves about 4 Library faculty, and students each year find this very informative. There will be questions on the final about it. Everyone is urged to attend.
The lecture session, Wedn. at 3pm, will start in McB 118. This is a Field Trip on Hypertext where students will learn about 2 innovative hypertext systems and gain hands on experience with them.
