Visual Information Processing Group
The "Visual Information Processing Group" at the
Institute of Systems Science of the National University of Singapore is a part of the ISS "New Initiatives".
Mission:
Problem driven research and development in the area of representation,
analysis, storage and retrieval of visual information such as images, maps
and video. Particular areas of concentration are multimedia information
systems, content-based retrieval of image and video data, spatial information
systems and image and map understanding.
International Collaboration:
RWCP Real World Computing
Partnership (Japan) project:
Active Integrated Media System
(AIMS) (1996-2002).
CLIPS-IMAG, University of Joseph Fourier, France, on Indexing and
Retrieval of Visual Information".
