Before class, review descriptions of MOOsburg in the book, or by visiting the MOOsburg graveyard at moosburg.cs.vt.edu

In class, consider elaborating MOOsburg with client software for electronic tables and white boards, cell phones and PDAs, natural language processing, embedded appliances (computationally augmented and networked toys, cars, clothing, etc.), and novel input devices, such as position and pressure-sensing gloves.

Brainstorm 1-2 new scenarios for the virtual science fair that make use of novel interactions devices. One student from each group will briefly report back to the whole class

1. First, talk about these ideas generally: do some of them seem more or less appropriate for the root concept and stakeholders you are working with? Why or why not? Can you identify design tradeoffs?

2. Next, choose one of the ideas and elaborate how it could fit into one or more of the scenarios you are working with. Be as specific as you can, use the back for drawings as before if this helps in the brainstorming. Time permitting, we’ll share these ideas.
