Late Policy

Lateness with respect to written assignments

Where to take late papers

Lateness resulting from illness, family duties, or acts of God

Where you are unable to complete an assignment as a result of documented reason, such as illness, family duties, or some other event that incapacitates you, then you should let the instructor or GTA know as soon as possible of your problem, giving an estimate of when you expect to complete the assignment. A reasonable grace period will be granted in cases of documented incapacity.

With respect to in-class presentations and debate

In-class presentations and debates will be scheduled by the instructor as early as possible in the course, but cannot be finally fixed until the last date to drop classes has passed. Once this schedule is set and distributed, it will be very difficult to negotiate changes.
