Grade School Ethics

Projects

  1. Computer ethics can mean different things to different people. You may think that computer ethics means one thing, while I think it means something else. Because this is your ideas and oppinions, there are no wrong answers. Write a 1-2 page report describing your ideas of computer ethics. Include in your paper an introduction, introducing your feelings, a paragraph or two explaining why you feel the way you do, and a conclusion, which will summarize(explain whole paper in 3-4 sentences) your paper. To start you off, use the following sentence somewhere in your introduction-- "Computer Ethics is basically a person's morals applied to computers. To me, this means...."
  2. Using the situation you decided upon in the 5th assignment. Write a skit to be performed in class, which will demonstrate your group's situation. For the example given in the assignments section, a skit would show Pedro telling Jonnie that he forgot to study for a test and needs Jonnie to tell him the answers on the test. Then the skit would have Jonnie telling Pedro that cheating would be wrong and that he can not do that.
  3. At the start of this class you wrote a paper on your feelings of what computer ethics meant to you. Now after the class is over, write another paper (2-3 pages) describing 1) what you have learned from this class 2) what you did not learn from this class 3) what you liked about the class 4) what you did not like about the class, AND 5) your ideas of computer ethics Include in your paper the answers to the 4 questions and for your ideas on computer ethics...an introduction, introducing your feelings, a paragraph or two explaining why you feel the way you do, and a conclusion, which will summarize(explain whole paper in 3-4 sentences) your paper. To start you off, use the following sentence somewhere in your introduction-- "Computer Ethics is basically a person's morals applied to computers. To me, this means...."
