Procedure

  1. Before class the students will have been prepared to participate in our lesson by completing the pre-class assignment.
  2. Form the class into four groups, call them group A, B, C, and D.
  3. Give each group a scenario and its scenario questions.İ
  4. The groups will then generate responses to the scenario questions.İ The questions will motivate the students to critically analyze South Korean rights of speech laws, its effect on the people, and its correlation to US laws.İ We will allow a maximum of 7 minutes for this part.
  5. The groups will then share their responses to the class.İ The presentation may be done by all members of the group or by their elected representative.İ The presentation of each groups' findings should not take more than 5 minutes.
  6. With the remaining class time, the students will then discuss the groupís responses. We will provide our answers to the scenario questions after the end of the discussion.İ
  7. Assign a post-class activity sheet due at next lecture.
