Professionalism in Computing

List of activities or events approved for participation credit in CS3604.

Participation credit in Dr. Hartson's CS3604 class is given on a percentage basis. For example, standing up in front of the class to do an in-class exercise usually is rewarded with a 10% participation grade. That means the student gets 10% credit toward the participation grade in the course. To get an A in the participation component of the course grade, a student must accumulate 100% participation credit during the course. Some get it all at once by participating in a large activity, such as Service Learning, the High School Programming Contest, or the Career Night Planning Committee.

NOTE: Each student can get a maximum of only 100% participation credit. Further participation, while not discouraged, will not accrue more credit to the student.
