Assignment to bring to class: Graphics for presentation

In advance of next class prepare an overhead (transparency/foil) that would serve as the introductory slide for a five minute talk you are going to give to a high school group about Virginia Tech. We need only the introductory slide, not the rest. Include a few talking points, not just a VT logo, for example.

Bring the slide to class, in one of two ways:

  1. Print or copy your slide onto a plastic transparency for showing on the overhead projector. You will hand this in, in class.
  2. Make your slide on-line (e.g., using PowerPoint). The slide should be accessible in class via the Internet or Web. If you choose this approach, you should bring a paper copy to hand in, in addition.

In class I will call on volunteers (for 10% Participation credit) to use the slide to give the introduction to the talk that goes with your slide. Make sure your name is on the slide that you will hand in.
