Really? I thought this is exactly why Debug mode exists—to catch errors that aren't caught in a Release build. If the error is deterministic, i.e. reproducible, then it definitely shouldn't be dismissed. Much more likely to have a program error than to discover a new bug in the compiler, especially since this program deals extensively with pointers.
