No. You should have a cpp/h pair for each class.
as it is now i have parent and child classes in seperate files and when i compile i get "base class not defined" errors -- yes, i have #included the correct files in each header -- any ideas?
Take a look at the forward declaration example in the notes on Conversions I posted yesterday. That should clear it up.
The "base class not defined" error is probably a result of a circularity in your #includes.
