Never touch the stuff myself. However, you can always run your program directly from the command line.
Assuming you named your executable hhts.exe and it's located in c:\projects\2704\hhts you'd run it something like this:
in c:\projects\2704\hhts\> hhts vehicledata.txt testscript.txt > log.txt
The '>' causes the output to be redirected into a new file named "log.txt".
To do this, you have to navigate to the directory containing your executable (that's why the prompt looks like that), and the input files must also be in that directory.
