- I've reposted the course grades with some
corrections. I dropped one quiz score, and fixed the lookup formula
for the quiz scores so you each now have the correct quiz average.

June 27. This will be the last homework assignment.

- I've posted a corrected version of Homework 3. The only changes are
in the last question.

- Homework 3 is posted on the Homework
page. It's due in class (paper submission, not electronic) on Monday,
June 24. Several of the questions are best done by implementing a tiny
program to compute the results.

- A draft specification for the second major project is posted. Test

- I've posted Homework 2 on the Homework
page. It's due in class (paper submission, not electronic) on Monday

- I've posted a minor revision of the Hash Table project specification. The
change is to fix an error message when deletion fails.

Be sure you test with it.
- I've posted the specification for the third minor project.

- I've posted the final (very minor) revision of the Spellchecker
project. The only changes were to remove "draft" and take
out one extraneous sentence in the submission instructions.

- I've posted several updated notes chapters.
- I've corrected the first output log for Major Project 1. I had a
subtraction reversed in my comparator function.

- I've posted some test data for Major Project
1. Enjoy! Note that I'm not guaranteeing that the dictionary
file won't contain duplicate words; obviously you should filter those out
when building the dictionary tree.

- I've posted fixed log files for Minor Project 2,
correcting the handling of duplicate entries.
- I've posted modified office hours for Cheryl and Sammi on the
website. Be sure to note the locations they'll be using.
- The Computer Science Honor Society, Upsilon Pi Epsilon is offering free
tutoring twice a week. The tutoring times are being changed from
1:00-2:00 TR to 2:00-3:00 TR, in McBryde 133. Feel free to take
advantage of this.

- A Forum (discussion board) for CS 2604 is now
available. There is a link to it in the table of contents for this
website. To use the Forum you must log in with your VT PID and
password. Be sure to read the welcome message that's posted on the
2604 Forum for usage guidelines.

- Students who need to force-add CS 2604 must
attend the first class meeting and fill out a CS Department force-add
request form. No decisions will be made regarding force-adds until
after the first class meeting. NOTE: There will be absolutely NO
exceptions to the stated prerequisites for this course. Do not waste
my time by requesting one.
