I have no problems with being to class on time, and for class to start on time. It's the way classes should be.
But if you seek respect for this, you should also respect the ending time of class, and avoid running class over. Granted, we've only had 3 classes, but we have gotten out past 10:45 in all three. This may not affect most people, but I work 40 hours a week, and little overruns like this are the difference between me having lunch before work, and not. I just ask that you be a bit more mindful of the time, and of the students' schedule.
