: ok i could be totally wrong and all but my guess is nothing wrong with FAT32. (i just woke up)
: the number was 900,000,000.
: an INT takes 4 bytes of memory.
: so 900,000,000 * 4 = 3,600,000,000 bytes of memory
: Thats
: 3,600,000,000 / 1024 = 3,515,625 kilo bytes
: and
: 3,515,625 / 1024 = 3,433.228... mega bytes
: thus
: 3,433.228 / 1024 = 3.35 giga bytes?
well the question was about the file system because the program was running after having allocated about 3.6 gigs of memory to itself, and was outputting all happy like to a text file, until it got to 4 gig, then it stopped. well the program didnt stop, just the increasing file size. So i dont know
