Class attendance is encouraged but not mandatory.

However, you should consider the following points:

• You are responsible for all announcements and other class activities, whether you attend or not.
• Your payment of tuition does not entitle you to an individual recapitulation of a missed lecture.
• You may miss a lecture for reasons beyond your control.  That does not alter the basic fact that you are still responsible for catching up on the material that was covered during that lecture.

If you choose to miss lectures, that is your right.  However, if you do so, you have made a contract with yourself to teach yourself the related material.
