Having just viewed the video, answer the following questions: 1. Would highly targeted direct- or tele-marketing be possible without the computer? Justify your answer. 2. What is the difference between junk mail and electronic spam? 3. Of all the information that is yours, what elements of it are "public information"? 4. How would you define "public information" as distinct from "private information"? 5. Is it appropriate (ethical) to use a computer to analyze data and extract information that will enable a marketer to better target potential clients? 6. Should the government pass laws to prevent companies from assembling data from different sources so to take advantage of the totality of data? Justify your answer.
