This class is intended as an introduction to the classic argumentive styles of ethical reasoning. These are specifically the concepts of relativism, utilitarianism, and deontology.
We spend a little time on moral issues, but primarily as a source of "values" that one brings to the table when attempting to make decisions, be they ethical, moral or not! An excellent example of decision making in a moral domain is to be found as a game or play entitled "Morality Play" produced by The Philosophy Magazine (TPM). Try it!
