This class is intended as an introduction to the classic argumentive styles of ethical reasoning. These are specifically the concepts of relativism, utilitarianism, and deontology.
We spend a little time on moral issues, but primarily as a source of "values" that one brings to the table when attempting to make decisions, be they ethical, moral or not! Of growing concern is the impact of the computer on the environment and the general concerns of professionals to bring a concern for the environment into the workplace.
