Crime, Security, and Hiring Practices
Objectives
While it is not the intent of this class to teach students how to commit computer related crime, it is necessary that professional know enough about computer crime to protect themselves and their employers from crime. As a result of this class students are expected to have an elevated sense of awareness of the problem of computer crime and the countermeasures they can take to minimize the effects of criminal acts.
Besides making and enforcing laws related to computer enhanced crime, solutions to this problem include concerns for security and hiring practices.
